Network Server Example
It is true that a PC can work as the network server. It is also true that lot many people turn their old computers in to the home network servers. But it is wrong to say that PC can replace the real server. The needs of the home or the small organizations might be too small and hence they can use the desk top PC as a server. The first point is that a server has to function for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. For this you need a special device. There are lot many features that you will find only in the network server and not in the desktop PC. The network server will have duel processors. It can have hot swappable components. This means you can change them while the work of the network server is going on simultaneously without any harm.
