Barbados - A Guide To The Island
Barbados was discovered by the Portuguese and is a coral island located east of the Caribbean Sea. According to many people the name ‘Barbados’ means bearded-ones but there is debates on where the name actually came from. Some think it was named after a fig tree’s long hanging roots and some propose it is named after the foam spraying over the reefs that take the shape of a beard.
