  • The Global Warming Hot Air
We all know of the doom and gloom predictions of Global Warming and Climate Change with rising sea levels, super storms and it all sound like a lot of hot water we will be in? Many Global Warming Alarmists tell of a time when sea levels will wipe out human civilizations near the shorelines. That makes sense, so rather than beating my head against the Global Warming Alarmists Walls, I would rather use them to serve my will to beef up our civilizations flows to withstand and/or adapt to, without disruption any sudden change, whether from a man-made caused war or Mother Nature. “We cannot say for certain how much the planet may be warming, how much is due to human activities versus natural cycles, or whether these changes in global temperature would be mostly good or mostly bad for the majority of people,” Spencer wrote in the monograph. In order to control and avoid the effects of global warming we must first agree with a fact that it is occurring, and take some measures to end or even reduce it. Basically global warming is the ascent of the earth’s surface temperature due to chemicals in the atmosphere. One of the comprehensive effects of global warming is the quickening of the hydrogen cycle. “I find no compelling scientific evidence that global warming is caused by anything other than ordinary, natural climatic cycles. Receding glaciers, rising sea levels, dying coral reefs, migrating plants and animals, reduced daily temperature fluctuations, and more pronounced and frequent "extreme precipitation events” (a large amount of precipitation in a short amount of time) are all suggested by today’s climate models as a consequence of global warming. The mechanics of global warming are simple. Maybe the whole world needs to rethink the level playing field rules over again and then we can sit down and talk about Global Warming, CO2 emissions and the Kyoto Treaty or a more reasonable version of it. Yet also consider that if the US were to stop its pollution then our industrial might would be severely hampered and if China and other nations did not do the same then the playing field would be so far tipped that trade deficits would increase to an alarming rate and even more industry would move to foreign shores. Another result of warming can be seen in the Kenai Peninsula where the largest insect infestation in North America has decimated the growth of white spruce trees. Regardless of what is to come you and I will be well served by the beliefs and strategies that people with disabilities use to - not just to survive - but to live well. I have long been concerned about the effects of global warming. You see we live on the surface of the Planet and our species has evolved to deal with these things and we as an intelligent species are adapting to handle the dangers and changes of living on the hostile surface of planet. They talk of crop failures, long term droughts, flash floods and re-distribution of giant ice bergs causing changes in the balancing of tectonic plates triggering seismic events, Tsunamis and a host of other issues with sea currents, weather flows and then moving us into an ice age which might last over 10,000 years? Urban heat is one thing mankind is doing by planting concrete everywhere, but those changes in weather flows are generally regional and dissipate.
  • Solar Power And Its Future
Thanks to the Bush Administrations Alternative Power Initiatives we are seeing money flowing to alternative energy research and great strides being made in the private sector. School buses run lots of lights that warn motorists that kids will be crossing and all these lights could be run from solar power or from solar power assisted batteries. Experts have said that the technology of using photovoltaic cells and photovoltaic shingles is a major breakthrough in the harnessing of solar power. In the meantime, solar power applications are being developed with a focus on hybrids. In this case, solar power can be the saving grace—the only easy way to provide energy to a place that is not easily accessible to draw energy from other sources.
