At least you can carry some index cards around with you and not miss out on the chance to get the autograph. Autograph collecting is a great way to spend free time. You get to meet new people and share ideas of interest with each other. In our culture and highly civilized society, autograph collecting is valued because for the most part all of us want to actually own a piece of history or that special occasion.
