The majority of foods consumed on the Zone diet program include low fat cuts of meat, like chicken or fish and other sources of protein, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and a limited amount of carbohydrates. Rice, cereals, potatoes, breads, and sugar are the types of carb rich foods that dieters should avoid eating, but can eat once in awhile. Dieters must also avoid processed foods and high sodium foods. Exercise is another key component of the Zone diet. The diet recommends moderate intensity physical exercise for thirty minutes a day, six days each week. Physical activity is supposed to raise the effectiveness of the Zone diet. Other things that are supposed to increase the effectiveness of the diet include taking nutritional supplements and vitamins. The Zone diet is perfect for many people, but it takes a lot of dedication. The reason why this program and most other diet programs do not work is because many dieters stop before they are able to see improvement.
