Before I get to the main body of this article I need to share some stats about corn ethanol as a fuel which will probably blow your mind . With the technology that we currently have available approximately FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS of corn are needed to fill one standard sized gas tank in one car ! What could we do with that corn instead? This much corn would be enough to feed a person for a year. Now let’s take that math and extend it over one car and 365 days. With ethanol derived from corn as the fuel in one car over the course of a full year the average US vehicle would consume a staggering TWENTY SEVEN THOUSAND POUNDS of corn! That equals to enough to feed a small village for a year! THAT’s HORRIBLE! So that ignorant American driver who does not have a clue, probably thinks that he is helping the world and yet, he can be considered responsible for the death of all the people in a small village in some place he never heard of. And that is the world we are living in with biofuel! An essential point that political leaders and the media have missed about the world food crisis is that rising oil prices have not shrunk the human food supply, but biofuel production has! Higher oil prices naturally raise the cost of everything that takes energy to produce, but on top of that American and European Union policies have resulted in a drastically lower food supply by fascistically demanding that farmers grow corn for fuel instead of food . “Emperor” Bush's 2007 "Energy Independence and Security Act" turns our food into fuel. If farmers were not being forced to grow corn for fuel purposes instead of food then they could have easily passed higher energy costs on to consumers without shrinking food production, and they would also have been able to increase the quantity of food generated to meet increased demand of an expanding world population. Higher prices normally give producers a strong incentive signal to make more of a product so they can make more money. The forced government mandates though have nullified that natural free market process by forcing farmers to grow food for fuel . Chairman Mao Tse Tung banned private agriculture in 1958 in his shift to communes and industry and over the next two years the output of grain dropped a total of 25% . Bush either failed to learn from history or learned too well but he has outdone Mao! Varying statistics all have alarming consequences. The drop in America’s corn for food crop has been between 33% and 38% depending on whose statistics you believe. A convergence of forces turned Mao's 1958 plan into the greatest famine in history, and resulted in the death by starvation of tens of millions of Chinese people. Bush's "Energy Independence and Security Act" may eventually take even more lives worldwide. It is estimated that 10 to 20 MILLION people could die from food shortages caused by biofuel in 2008 alone. Let’s try to put that in some perspective. In an average year the number of people that die is between 50 and 60 million! So this means an increase of 12% to 40% in the total number of deaths. Now that is kind of under the radar. Surely there have been millions of those deaths already because here we are in April. . Now let’s compare this to something that is on EVERYBODY’s minds since 9/11… terrorism. Let’s review some other stats of death so as to compare. Between six hundred thousand and seven hundred thousand die in America most years from heart conditions of one kind or another . Cancer takes between 450,000 and 600,000 deaths per year . Over one hundred thousand people die every year from accidents of different kinds . In the year of 9/11, 2001, road fatalities were equal to having a 9/11 occur every 26 days. And how many deaths were there of Americans from terrorist attacks through the decade of the 1990s? They averaged 250 deaths per year which equates to almost one death from terrorist attacks for every 400 deaths from accidents on the road ! And the 100,000 that die from accidents compared to, let’s say 15 million dead from artificially induced food shortages? That is a ratio of 1 to 150! 15 million people would fill Yankee stadium for every one of the home games for four years with 50,000 people per game My fellow Americans, whom I hardly know anymore have demonstrated their willingness to sacrifice our Constitution, our freedoms, our heart and soul in exchange for Big Brother to take care of them and protect them from terrorist attacks even though this sacrifice has not resulted in anything but a country moving rapidly towards a police state with no greater security against terrorist attacks whatsoever. So I wonder what Americans will be willing to part with so that tens of millions of impoverished people In actual fact, though, they don’t need to sacrifice anything except the time and effort to get set up with Water4Gas which will take care of the rest for them.
