This article is the most recent in a series of amazing articles which were the result of some amount of web based research I have spent some time on recently regarding the possibilities of alternative fuel solutions. These articles can be found at my Water 4 Gas Blog As incredible as one might presume, Fred Flintstone was dead on with his foot powered automobile!!! Yep, this is a major conclusion of my research! The cave man’s only mistake is that as an animated cartoon character he was restricted in his capability to “think abstractly” and conceive of the bigger picture! Folks are coming to realize that a major natural source of alternative energy is human effort so it is not a matter of slave labor camps! Just doing nothing more than the things that we naturally do all the time anyway but by being a wee bit more intelligent about itas regards conservation and recycling of energy we can light large cities! So it certainly seems that ol’ Fred had more going on in his head than it appeared! Well, this is one direction where my investigations took me. I have other articles besides. My original objective is to enlighten people about the wealth of alternative energy data at my Water 4 Gas that shows people how to convert your fossil fuel powered car engine into partial combination or total water-based hydrogen consuming system. But in that activity I have discovered the genius of alternative energy that I wanted to help publicize some of the enlightening discoveries I have come across with you also. Some approaches include the floor of a dance club that generates electrical energy from the vibrations of the dancers on the dance floor to shoes that generate electricity by converting motion from walking into electricity. One shoe prototype can generate about six watts, which would be more than sufficient to keep you from having to recharge your cell phone battery. Besides Fred Flintstone, a familiar icon of the 1960s was the shoe phone used by Maxwell Smart on the Get Smart television. This is a new spin on a shoe phone! Like many of these projects, the health club concept will not be able to light up a skyline or even power the spa's own air conditioning. They have connected thirteen machines at one of its clubs. If all of them were connected up, the electrical power generated amounts to about three hundred watts, approximately enough to run three 27-inch TV sets, five sixty-watt light bulbs or a few hundred video iPods. If all the exercise machines were in use 10 hours a day for one full year, the spa could generate roughly $183 worth of electrical energy. At that rate, it would take about 82 years to pay off the initial $15,000 investment. Recycling elbow grease into an electrical energy source has a long, odd history (no, not talking about Fred again lol). The first phones, in the 1800s, were powered by turning a crank that produced an electrical current to notify the operator when one was trying to place a. Flashlights that operate by hand crank have been available for a long time. So have hand-crank portable radios. The difference between those and these is that quite a few of the new approaches stress capturing energy that is a byproduct of routine human life, such as exercising, dancing and walking. Scientists give the ignoble categorization of “parasitic generators”s. Many of the more futuristic projects center their attention on capturing the energy of crowds. It’s as if someone thought about the Mardi Gras or a World Series game or a U2 concert and said…”man! If we could somehow… harness that energy!” Enviu, a European environmental NGO, is constructing a dance club in Rotterdam that will utilize a dance floor that harvests vibrations from all those feet into electricity. One potential design for the floor integrates piezoelectric crystals, which put forth a small electric current when compressed. But Enviu's 400 square foot floor is expected to cost $260,000 and will generate only enough energy to run some lights embedded in it. So this could be considered more of an attraction than a solution. Designers in London has been developing flooring materials that could ultimately serve to collect energy from throngs of people walking into busy subway tunnels. In one proposal, each step on the floor would push liquid through a microturbine, which would generate electricity. Allow me to take a moment to direct some attention back towards my primary activity while I continue with these happy musings about Fred Flinstone’s alternative energy solutions. WATER4GAS is offering information at a low price which consumers can use at home to put together a small gizmo which instills hydrogen into the fuel/air mixture that their car or truck runs on. What this does is make bite sized particles out of the particles that the system burns as fuel. So it is able to use a lot more of the gasoline. By doing this you can reasonably expect to reduce your gas consumption by 12%. In reality though many are obtaining thirty to fifty percent improvement or significantly more. Those particles "musta" been pretty "blankin'" huge in some engines before. But with W4G they are made usable so you can reduce your gas consumption. It also helps make emissions significantly cleaner. This package of info has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND individuals already and the percentage of happy customers is about 99%! So that's a start!
