Not all of us have the financial wherewithal to purchase these kits. So many of us today struggle to get by. Life is constantly changing and we all try our best to keep up with the changes as they come. How about a free credit repair kit sound? There is such a thing and it's readily available to you! Your local library will usually have credit repair kits, as well books on credit repair and debt management. Everything you need - right there and best of all, free! Most libraries also have fax machines and copiers which you can use for making duplicates of letters to your creditors. Write these letters and you'll have taken the first step towards repairing your credit. There will also be books, even kits for filing bankruptcy at your library. If there is absolutely no other solution, than this ca help you. Generally speaking, you can do a Pro Bono Bankruptcy, meaning that you'll represent yourself in court. If you file a chapter 7 bankruptcy you'll make payments in monthly installments. However, a Chapter 13 bankruptcy will cancel all of your debts. The only problem with this is that bankruptcies stay on your credit reports for a decade or more. If you can avoid filing bankruptcy, do so. If you do have to file for bankruptcy though, just know that it isn't the end of your life. I know people who have filed for bankruptcy and were still able to get auto loans and mortgages. You would do well to stay away from debt consolidation firms. You often end up paying a lot more than you would think. However, a debt counselor form a company with a good reputation might be a good choice for you. Before you pay anyone for any such service though, do a little investigation about the company. The BBB (Better Business Bureau) can give you free information about any company whose services you are considering. If anybody tells you they can make your debts and credit problems just disappear, they are not telling you the whole story. Even after paying off your debts, these items will still be on your credit report - there will just be a note next to these items saying "resolved". One last tip - get copies of your credit report from Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. This information can even be found online. Knowing where you stand is the first step to repairing bad credit.
