There are many nice programs for free music and movie downloads and Kazaa is one of them. Kazaa offers free files, which are uploaded by other users and paid files, which come from their partner � Allnet. All this leads to a rich choice of files in any genre. iPods and MP3 players are getting more and more disc space and this makes you search for more and more music and videos to download. Yes, you can buy the whole CD from the store, but why do it when you can get only the clips (or even parts of them) you like? Kazaa has a program, which allows to store the downloads onto your computer. Additionally, Kazaa has a toolbar, whoch allows to perform searches for the files you want. Most of the files, which are uploaded by users and by Allnet professionals have ratings and categories, which further eases the search. But still, when so many users add files, it is not possible for Kazaa to monitor all these files and you can find files, which are not the best thing you can give your child to watch. Adult content is among these files. So, they have instituted parental controls to catch most of the inappropriate content, whether it is pictures, words, music, or movies. But, some material will probably slip through the cracks. For example, as a former subscriber to Kazaa, I was very disappointed to find files named after Disney movies or some other family friendly title to circumvent the safeguards. Offensive files do manage to bypass the parental control and I have no guarantee that my kids will not be served with something I don't want them to see, read or hear. This is the main reason why I am not using Kazaa anymore. Yes, it is a great opportunity to download files directly from other users and professionals as well. Yet, because you are getting the data for unknown sources, the risk of also downloading a virus, threat, or infection is also possible. So, you need to first take the precautions necessary to protect your files and personal information. But all these ugly sides of downloading music and videos for free do not make it a less popular activity. Downloading paid or free music and videos is very convenient. Yes, the Net offers really endless possibilities for work and entertainment. Even the most powerful iPods and MP3 players do not have so much space, which can't be filled with free music. No matter which artists and genres you like, it is almost certain that you will find what you want. Although Kazaa does have some problems that are just part of the territory for peer-to-peer sites, many people satisfactorily use Kazaa download free music. As long as people are aware of the hazards associated with user downloads, then this can be a good source for filling up the iPod with great tunes and more.
