Its Your Bathroom - Why Not Get Creative?

Most of us enjoy the time we spend in the bathroom so decoration has become a popular way to improve a well used room; there is so much scope available these days, especially with larger bathrooms, it seems a shame to waste the opportunity.

Think about it, we all spend a good bit of time washing and freshening up every day, so why not use a few bathroom decoration ideas to spice this room up a bit and make it a more appealing place to hang out. After all, if you are spending about half an hour a day in the room, why shouldn't it be more relaxing?

If nothing else, your creative bathroom decorating ideas will probably inspire and impress your friends and neighbors. There isn't much point in spending thousands of dollars making other rooms pleasant to live in if you are going to leave your bathroom in a state of poor decoration.

You may want to carry over bathroom decorating ideas and styles you have used in the rest of your home. So if you like the look of certain plants on small tables throughout the house then there is no reason why this same theme should not continue in the bathroom as well. This can be equally effective, and more relaxing, if you place plants on them that will look perfectly in place as they are seen elsewhere in the house as well.

Similarly, you can apply your ideas to the rest of your house if you haven't already decided on a theme. For example if you have used a particular style of tile, wall or floor in your bathroom, then why not see how it works in other areas like the hall or kitchen?

Often kitchens are tiled in plain white and can look a little bland, so why not try a different color, like the one you have used in the bathroom. And even though the tiling aspect tends to dominate kitchens and bathrooms, there are many other creative bathroom decorating ideas that can be used elsewhere as well.

If you take the modern day soap dish, dispenser, or tray, where as they use to be bland and usually one color, they are frequently becoming quite colorful and decorative these days. Modern periodicals which feature ideas on decoration now show just how simple it is to get creative and make your own dispensers rather than buying them.
