Investing in feature films and television Have you always wanted to be involved in the movie making industry? Do you have a keen eye for great scripts and plot ideas? If so then films are a brilliant way to make money, by doing nothing. All you have to do is sit back and let the directors, actors, production crew and editors do their thing and you stand to make a killing at the box office. Investment opportunities like these are perfect for investors who enjoy seeing the behind the scenes of television or cinema and most of the time you can still have a full time job and invest in this. It is not like property where you have to be involved in getting tenants and signing various contracts on a monthly basis. It is also better than most forms of investing because you don’t have to get a broker or estate agent to help you and pay them commission. The film you invest in or the television series you invest in will have high returns and no extra fees to pay. It is also a fairly short term investment because a film only takes maximum of 2 or 3 years to complete and begin earning money at the box office. A television series will also take a short period of time to start earning. When you are looking for a film to invest in there are various factors that you will need to consider to make the most of this investment opportunity. Securing a profitable movie to invest in, means that you have to look at the script, and the actors that will be taking part in it. If you find great story however, this does not means that the public will enjoy it and buy tickets to see it. Look for big name actors as this is always a winner. If the move you are interested in has no actors as yet, then find out more about the director and what other movies he or she has done and how successful they were. Also look at where the film is planning to be released and screened. If you have a great movie with super actors, but it is not being released in America for example, but in the Ukraine, your profits will be far less than you expect. Investment opportunities such as a film will also have to be considered for other factors like the producers and the rest of the movie making process. The last thing you want is to invest in a film that is never finished and that does not secure other money. The producers of the film will need to work hard to get a large enough budget, and if you can make sure you will be part of a big budget movie, you can be assured of great returns too. You will also get a credit in the film for your contribution which is really great for all those that want a bit of fame in their lives. Your credit will be executive producer and this will open to door for other movies in the future that you can keep investing in.
