How to Get Your Ex Back – 5 Things to Do Right After a Break Up

By: KJ King

If you’ve just recently broken up with your significant other, I’m sure you don’t feel like doing much of anything. That is, of course, except sulk and think about how much you’d rather be with your ex right now.

But if you really want to save your relationship, you need to stop handling this break up the wrong way. Get your head on straight and look past those emotions that are holding you down. You’re not going to help yourself or your relationship if you just sit around and be depressed.

Here are five things you should be doing if you’ve just broken up.

1. Hang Out With Your Friends

That’s what they’re there for. Go out with a big group of friends and just have fun. Take your mind off of your ex and go be retarded with all your friends. When’s the last time you’ve spent a night with just your friends?

2. Work Out

That’s right. Get buff (or curvier, for you girls). If you start to improve your physical appearance, think how that will affect your ex. He/she expects you to be sulking around the house, getting fat and out of shape thinking about them. Prove them wrong.

3. Let Them Have Their Space

Don’t call or text your ex every hour of every day since the break up. You both need time to think and find yourself. The more you pressure your ex to talk to you when they don’t want to, the further you’ll push them away.

4. Get Some Sun, Educate Yourself

Go lay out in the sun, get and awesome tan and read a good book. Books are great therapy. Of course, try to stay away from depressing romance novels or tragic love stories. Read a good action book or a memoir. It’ll help keep your mind off of your ex if nothing else.

5. Meet New People

Being with someone limits your freedom to meet new people, to a degree. If your ex sees you out, talking to new people (especially of a different sex) they’re bound to get curious. And curiosity is something you need to ignite in your ex if you want them back.

Don’t sit around and get depressed about your recent break up. It will do you no good. Go have some fun and get your mind off the situation for a little bit. Get healthy and happy and then you’ll be ready to enter back into your relationship with a new attitude.
