Virtumonde is a real pest of the most unpleasant kind. It spies on your Internet activities and forces you to look at certain ads. Virumonde has a very nasty peculiarity � the longer you keep it on your computer, the more damaging it becomes. So, the best thing you can do is to give it the kick immediately and to totally destroy it before it destroys you. If you don�t manage to destroy Virtumonde completely, it will resurrect. Spyware removal programs are one of the things you can�t live without. Spyware is invading us from anywhere and we must know how to defend ourselves against the unscrupulous developers of spyware, who use this nasty type of programs for profit. Spyware can do us real harm and you just can�t leave it on your computer, unless you want to see what nastiness it can do to you. What spyware developers are doing is really dishonest and the only thing we can do is to counteract them. Here are some steps in this direction: The first thing you must do before you attempt to remove the spyware is to terminate all the processes, which are running. You can check if a process is still running, if you press Ctrl+Alt+Del and open the Task Manager. If there are processes, which are still running, kill them one by one. Next, you need to delete registry entries on your computer. Click on "START" and the "RUN". Type in "regedit" in the box and hit "ok". Now, comes the hard part. You will have to go through the registry key and find the files you wish to delete. Once found, highlight your selection and delete. But deleting the registry keys, which are associated with spyware is not everything you need to do. You must delete the executable files (Dll files) of the intruder as well. Go back to the Start button and select the Run command but this time type cmd and press Enter. When the MS-DOS prompt opens, type regsvr32 /u � and the path to the file to be deleted. The path to the file needs to be the precise location (starting with the drive letter). Now, if you are like me, this process can make you very nervous. Unfortunately, if you do anything wrong, you run the risk of shutting down your computer for good. Then, you lose everything that is on your drives. Ouch! Thankfully, you can also find programs to help you with this process. Basically, this is what you need to do to get rid of Virtumonde. If you don�t want to do it yourself, you can ask a security pro to remove it for you. But in any case, removing this disgusting Virtumonde pest is a tough job!
