How to make money on auction sites? I think a lot of people have asked themselves that question at some point. But I also think that most of those people haven’t done anything about it. Ebay still has tonnes of opportunity for the budding entrepreneur, its just that most people either think that the hype is over or they just haven’t been bothered to take there interest any further. I hope that if your reading this, that’s not you! You’re interested in how to make some extra cash on Ebay, right? That’s great, but for most people out there the biggest part is knowing how to start. There’s so many guides on the Internet and it’s very common to get lost and confused. So where should you start if your looking to make a living on Ebay? Firstly, you need to do lots of research. The beginning part of any business, online or not is research, research, research. You need to find a niche, an area of interest or somewhere that you know you can profit. In my opinion the best way to do this is to start with the things that interest you - like your expertise or hobbies. If you’re doing something that you enjoy, your more likely to be successful, right? You need to spend time looking though auctions sites, get familiar with products and prices in a certain niche and find an area that you think you would be most successful selling in. Once you’ve found that area, you need to find a product source. The best place, in my opinion for beginners to start is with drop shipping. With drop shipping there’s no stock to be kept on your behalf and so you don’t have the hassle of postage or returns. Drop shipping companies keep the products for you (which you list on ebay for a fraction more than your paying for them) and then when you make a sale, they send the product to the customer for you.
