Heroes is quite an amazing show...season one captured my attention and just about made me cry when I got to the finale and realized there were no more episodes that season. Luckily Season 2 came, and it's every bit as awesome as the first! Miss the premiere? No problem, here's a synopsis! The premiere episode for Season 2 is called "Four Months Later" and it takes place exactly then. Dr. Suresh is touring the country, giving lectures on a deadly new virus that threatens the entire world when a man simply known as "Bob" identifies himself as a member of the Company and makes Suresh an offer he can't refuse. Claire Bennet and family have just moved to another town and are trying to keep as inconspicuous as possible, but she soon finds that's easier said than done when she meets an inquisitive classmate with abilities of his own. Matt Parkman and Mohinder Suresh have taken in Molly Parker, who has been having extreme nightmares about the one person who scared her worse than Sylar: the "Nightmare Man." Matt has more on his mind though, as Kaito Nakamura and Angela Petrelli have both received mysterious death threats. Nathan Petrelli has hit rock bottom, consumed with guilt over Peter's disappearance and assumed death after the NYC explosion of Season One. However, Peter is not dead and shows up in Ireland of all places, handcuffed into a shipping container with no memories at all about his identity or abilities. Hiro is astonished to find himself all of a sudden in 17th century Japan, alongside the great Takezo Kensei of legends...although he quickly learns that there is a lot more to Kensei than he ever expected, and the legendary warrior is nowhere near who he thought he was. We are also introduced to a new pair of characters, Maya and Alejandro. Driven from their home and pursued by the police as murder suspects because of the accidental first release of Maya's ability to cause a sort of plague in all surrounding people whenever she gets extremely upset, the brother and sister are fleeing to America to try to locate Dr. Suresh in hopes of finding a cure. So that's that. This season is certainly going to be eventful, at least if the premiere is any good indicator. There's a lot going on, and as you probably hoped it hasn't lost any of its charm and certainly still loves the cliffhanger endings. We're in for one wild ride!
