Online forums are a double-sided coin, so to speak.

* You can either waste hours and hours a week at forums reading all the interesting discussions between people.

FORUM LINKING -- HOW TO LINK FROM THE FORUM TO YOUR WEBSITE

There are loads of online forums. Go to Google.com and type in your topic plus the word forum, for example "acne forum" or "home schooling forum" (without the quotes) and you will find the available forums.

To get links back to your website or websites, choose the busy forums. These are the ones that get the most visitors and the most posting activity. They will usually be listed near the top of the search results.

Pick several and take a look. Like what you see? Great. Take particular note of the forum signatures that think you have disguised it.

By contributing useful comments or expressing your thanks in a contextually relevant way (not just 'Good point, thanks'), your forum post and your URL-embedded signature can gain visibility. And traffic back to your site!
