With the Epson Stylus Pro 9880, Epson has released its new “three-level” black ink technology which, like all of their innovations, demonstrates excellence. This new innovation is unique for simultaneously utilizing black, light black and light-light black ink during the printing process. This process dramatically improves the printer’s gray balance while doing away with color casts. This is outstandingnews for artists who have issues over their photographs not copying well to canvas due to experiences with color casting they may have had with other products. The standard photo black ink mode can be implemented for any media type with incredible results. However, for several Breathing Color media such as Elegance Velvet, Optica One and Brilliance Chromata, utilizing the optional Matte Black ink mode instead will dramatically optimize your black optical density for an outstanding print quality.
