The TV programming industry is not immune to the surge in the growing Latino market and DirecTV more than any other programming service provider has taken steps to welcome the Latino viewer into its customer base. Getting Spanish language programming from DirecTV is no different than getting an English language programming package and in fact DirecTV has just as many Spanish language programming packages as it does English language programming packages. DirecTV also features twelve channels of high definition TV programming that can be added to any one of their Spanish language programming with the exception of their two-hundred and thirty channel Seleccion Premier package, because it already comes with the high definition programming package. While DirecTV�s twelve channels of high definition programming is not the largest HD package it is possibly the most affordable. Research has also shown that the twelve channels that DirecTV carries in their high definition package is adequate for the average viewer. It is your favorite programs that you are going to use the high definition channels on and you certainly won�t need them for news programming. DirecTV�s introductory Spanish language programming package is called Seleccion Extra and it has a total of seventy channels in it in both Spanish and English and if you add on their twelve channel high definition package you can also add on some of the optional channels that DirecTV carries and still stay well within your budget. High definition TV programming is different from standard definition programming because the picture on the screen is six times more precise and defined. This is because the high definition TV has twice the number of pixels and vertical lines of resolution in it and these are what the TV uses to make the picture on the screen with. The sound feature in DirecTV high definition Deprogramming is also in high definition, because it comes in digital surround sound that also uses Dolby noise reduction technology and the result is a crystal clear CD quality sound that you have never before had come from your TV set. The screen on the high definition TV is also wider, so you get more over all picture with high definition programming. High definition TV programming also means that the picture on the big screened TV is also no longer fuzzy when viewed fro up close, so now people who live in smaller houses and apartments can now use a big screened TV. High definition TV programming also requires a high definition receiver and DirecTV has your choice of two models of Hughes high definition receivers. One is a basic model that doesn't come with DVR option while the other is a more feature laden model that has the DVR option.
