Dogs that have grown so used to a particular tone of voice may be unsure about what to do if a different tone is used. Be consistent in both the tone and the speed of what you are saying so that your dog will understand it. Some electronic collars are designed to make a dog stop barking. If your dog has the habit of barking incessantly, an electronic collar that squirts citronella into its nose when it barks needlessly is advised. Dogs are particularly allergic to citronella squirted from a collar because it irritates them. Your dog needs to be taught how to obey you. A dog that does not know how to respond to any of your commands can produce a well of frustration in you. Dog care includes teaching it to know what you expect of it and how to respond to your needs. Ensure that your dog gets an opportunity to mingle with other dogs so that it does not become overly aggressive. In dogs, aggression is usually a sign of frustration or pent up fury. If your dog expresses aggression too much, take it to see a vet doctor.
