Build Trust in Employees Through Consistant and Honest Actions

Very few things could be more important for a business leader to understand than what it means to be true to oneself. However, in order to master this vital ability it becomes necessary to explore the word itself.

One method that will help us do this is through examining the exact opposite of the word "true." To be false is the opposite of being true. From this we gather that to be true is to not be false. But what does it mean for a person to be false? We find the answer by looking at a few of the false's synonyms which are: fake, artificial, fictitious, misleading, insincere, misleading, etc. Simply put, being false is to deceive, or to live a lie.

The foundation of truth is authenticity and loyalty. To be authentic/true to yourself builds personal integrity in the eyes of others. It's easy to follow a manager who is totally authentic and truthful. As the leader your employees look up to you for direction. You move forward to pave the trail that others can then follow. Helping your employees develop confidence in you should be near the very top of your to-do list. This great confidence is attainable when you begin proving your authenticity.

Have you noticed how much you enjoy being with genuine people? People that are true to themselves allow you feel safe and confident.

Encouraging a sense of security and comfort in others is vital for building sustainable business endeavors and developing lasting strategic partnerships. Being true denotes consistency and predictability builds trust.

All throughout this next week practice being true to yourself. Make your words truth. Do exactly what you say you will do. This one act will make your word powerful. It will be predictable. You will be TRUE.
