Ethiopia, once called Kingdom of Aksum in the 4th century, is a land-locked country in northeast Africa. It is located between 33 - 48 degrees east and 3.5 - 15 degrees north. It shares borders with:

Sudan (nine hundred and ninty six miles) to the west
Kenya (five hundred fifteen miles) to the south
Somalia (one thousand six hundred kilo metre) to the east
Eritrea (five hundred and sixty four miles) to the northeast
Djibouti (three hundred and forty kilo meter km) to the northeast
