Those who have organized an office party will know how difficult a task this can be. It is rather easier to arrange a party for your friends where everyone comes to the party just to enjoy unlike the office party where some people just come to find fault with your arrangements and to make open remarks about it. Also when it comes to arranging an office party, there will be a vast variation in the age groups involved. So it is difficult to cater to everyone and to satisfy everyone. Organizing an office party is a real challenge to your creativity.

Office parties often turn out to be clumsy because the workers of an organization are familiar only with the formal office setup and when they are left with the same group of people in an informal situation, they are a little unsure of how to conduct themselves. The first few minutes of the party is the most difficult time as people start trickling in and they are still not fully settled with the new environment. It is the responsibility of the party organizer to arrange for some special activity that will break the ice. As office parties involve a large number of people it has to be organized in hotel or a club that can accommodate all the participants comfortably. The environment chosen should be soothing and relaxing because an unfriendly environment can add to the stress of those who are already feeling uncomfortable.
The party place that has been chosen should be well lit as semi lit environments are meant to create a romantic environment, but in an office party it will create a gloomy atmosphere and people may not get comfortable with each other. Many companies are ready to spend lot money on these office parties hoping that it would enhance the staff relations. So the one who organizes the party is burdened with the responsibility of providing an environment where all the staff will be able to mingle with each other freely.
You will be able to find a number of clubs that have attractive packages for office parties. They will be able to suggest you with some creative ideas that will lighten the environment of your office party. Though drinking is part of this social evening too much of attention to drinking is not to be given because most of the staff have to drive back themselves after the party. All the activities arranged should involve everyone and should not leave out any particular age group and besides that the activities arranged should not embarrass any one or offend anyone’s feelings.
