Alarming Statistics And The Painful Cost of Fuel

By: GARKO

These are randomly chosen but scary statistics. For every of these I have included 100s and 1000s exist of similarly scary statistics. We can do something about at least one aspect of it.

1/8th of the population of this planet lives in North America and Western Europe and accounts for
sixty percentof private consumption spending, but over one-third of the population of this planet that which live in South Asia and the Southern regions of Africa account for only 3.2 percent.

In 1950, the population of the world was 2.6 billion people. There were fifty three million cars - which which is equivalent to one car for every 50 persons. In 2008, there are 6 billion people and 500 million cars-more than 1 car:12people

In 2003, gasoline consumption per individual in the population in North America was 1,593.1 litres for each individual, whereas in less advanced countries it was 59.2 litres per person

A study showed that over a typical life span, the average American will cause 13X’s (the amount of environmental harm as the average Brazilian

So we are pretty much to be scorned for everything once again. Americans are insatiable pigs thatconsume much too much and it is killing the planet. If that alone were true that would be scary enough. But read this statistic….

In 1996 Asia outsold Western Europe and North America combined on new vehicles. In Mexico, over a 30 year period 1960-1990 the new vehicles sales roseby over one thousand%. In Brazil over that same time period, the increase was nearly 2,500%. Since the mid-1980s, China's auto sales has risen by more than 10% annually. Government projections are for twenty two million vehicles in China by 2010, and a higher number of trucks and farm vehicles.

So the rest of the world is starting to contend with us as regards of over use of resources. Sooner or later, something has to give.

Well as far as gasoline and gasoline shortages and gasoline prices are concerned, the needed change is something that you can make happen right in your own auto’s engine.

What if you never had to buy another gallon of gasoline again?
Convert your gasoline engine to hydrogen.
If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you should see savings on your gasoline consumption of up to 30% maybe more.
If you do this and also add acetone to your gas tank (which will save you another 25% or so) then you will have increased your fuel economy by a combined 50%! Put in about 2-3 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of gasoline and less gasoline will evaporate and you lower your gasoline consumption by 25% or more.

If you do a full gas to hydrogen conversion then you will have pumped your last gallon of gasoline for the rest of your life. It is far easier than you might think, costs hardly anything, safeguards the environment and you will enjoy the reward of knowing that you are helping to conserve resources instead of consuming more than your fair share.
