This article is the latest in a series of articles based on some amount of internet research I did into potential alternative fuel solutions. These articles can be found at my Water 4 Gas Blog As unlikely as one might presume, Fred Flintstone was right with his automobile using his bare feet sticking out the bottom!!! Yep, that is the destination to which my research took me! His only error is that as an a cartoon creation he was he wasn’t allowed to “think” big enough! Folks are coming to realize that a significant natural resource for electrical energy is the energy produced in the routine activities that people do and it can be done without slave labor camps! Just doing nothing more than the things that we naturally do all the time anyway but by being somewhat smarter about itwith regards to conservation and recycling of energy we can power large cities! Well it certainly seems that ol’ Fred was smarter than he appeared! Well, this is one direction where my research took me. I have written other pieces. My original goal is to make folks aware of the wealth of alternative energy information at my Water 4 Gas that educates people how to convert your gasoline powered vehicle engine into partial combination or total water-based hydrogen burning system. But in the process of that I have discovered the creative thinking of alternative energy that I wanted to help get the word out about some of the amazing information I have seen in my travels with you too. Experiments vary from the floor of a dance club that generates electrical energy from the movements of the dancers on the dance floor to shoes that generate electricity by converting friction from taking a stroll into electricity. One of these shoes currently being tested can generate about six watts, which would be more than sufficient to keep you from having to recharge your cell phone battery. Besides Fred Flintstone, another icon of the 1960s was Maxwell Smart’s shoe phone on the Get Smart television. This is a new angle on a shoe phone! Converting elbow grease into an electrical energy source has a long, odd history (no, not talking about Fred again lol). The first phones, two centuries ago, had hand cranks that generated an electrical current to notify the operator when one wanted to make a call. Hand-crank flashlights have been available for a long time. So have hand-crank portable radios. The primary point of distinction between those and these is that quite a few of the new approaches focus on recycling electricity that is a byproduct of casual human life, such as walking, dancing or exercising. Scientists give the ignoble categorization of “parasitic generators”s. There are a number of researchers working on harvesting the energy of crowds. It’s as if someone was watching the Super Bowl or Times Square on New Year’s Eve or a U2 concert and said…”wow! If we could just harness that energy!” Human power may have more practical usability as an energy source in third world lands or in isolated environments where electricity isn't available. The Pentagon has invested tons of money in recent years on development of so-called "heel strike generators" that can be installed in soldiers' boots and might help lower the battery equipment they need to carry. I am not endorsing this. It is just interesting Larry Rome, a professor of Biology at the University of Pennsylvania, launched a new venture recently called Lightning Packs that aims to sell backpacks that generate electricity from the jiggling motion of walking (Think about the implications for some Hollywood starlets! ). Recently, his first design was able to produce approximately fifteen watts of energy from the up-and-down motion of the pack The research he has done on the backpacks received partial funding from the National Institutes of Health, as they were viewing them as a potential solution for carrying refrigerated vaccine supplies in outlying areas. I just want to steer some attention in the direction of my main activity in the midst of these happy musings about Fred Flinstone’s alternative energy solutions. WATER4GAS is providing information at a low price which people can use at home to create a small device which infuses hydrogen into the fuel/air mixture that their automobile runs on. What this does is make smaller particles out of the ones that the system burns as fuel. So the engine gets to use considerably more of the fuel. By doing this you can reasonably expect to increase your fuel economy by 12%. In reality though many are obtaining 30-50% improvement or even more. Those particles must have been pretty "blankin'" big in some systems before. But with W4G they are made consumable so you can increase your fuel economy. It also helps make emissions significantly cleaner. This information has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND people already and the percentage of happy customers is about 99%! So that's a start!
