Anger is the most common emotion. It is also the strongest emotion in human beings. Feeling angry is quite normal but if you do not know how to deal with it anger could kill you. Why do we get angry? Situations that upset us and feel beyond our control often result in getting angry. Anger is an emotion, like happiness or sadness. You should feel angry at times, and it's healthy to do so. If you ignore anger, it will not go away. Collecting anger can result in bad actions, so have control when dealing with anger. Be aware that you feel angry - You have to acknowledge that you are angry and that it is not abnormal to be angry. We all deal with stressful lifestyles and it is all right to be angry in certain situations. You need not feel bad or guilty or ashamed about feeling angry. Just know that you are a normal human being. Hence you are feeling one of the normal emotions. Calm down - Once you realize that you are getting angry try to calm down. You could move away from a messy situation, take a walk, discuss the situation with others and relax yourself. You could relax by taking a bath or listening to music or sleeping it off; take deep breaths to calm down your nerves, engage yourself in your hobbies - paint, draw or sing, meditate, etc. There are so many things you could do to calm your nerves. The advantage is that you find a couple of techniques that you could resort to, whenever you feel angry to allow yourself to calm down. Communicate - When calm and able to open your feelings, sit down with the person you got angry with and discuss what happened. Be positive about your feelings and never point fingers at them. Be specific about why you got angry with them. Let the other person speak as well, and let them speak their mind. Then move on with your lives and walk away understanding more about yourself and the person you were angry with. You would be smart to manage your anger in future with these tips 1: Recognize your triggers and limits - Instead of letting anger get at you, you may want to get familiar with these so you can prepare yourself, and deal with the problems effectively. 2: Identify substances that can increase anger - There are many dangerous substances that have a high contribution rate to emotions such as anger and depression. These substances include things such as caffeine, drugs, alcohol, narcotics, etc. If you have anger problems, try to stay away from these substances. 3: Practice meditation on a daily basis - If you are angry, but practice calming techniques on a daily basis, it would not be long until you started to be more relaxed. So when you get angry or annoyed you have a much easier time dealing with them. A couple closing words... If you are focusing on the issues and problems, there are always solutions, but if you focus on a person or a personality, the issues you have with the tend to stay forever. If you deal with more emotional maturiry you could manage your anger more effectively and thus, your approach will be much better.
